Sinus Rinse Recipe

on February 2, 2012

I suffer from allergies and asthma and my asthma doctor suggested that I begin doing sinus rinses everyday.  After some internet research, I discovered a way to make my own solution (after all the packets contain just baking soda and salt).  I’ve been using this homemade solution for about a month and it works just as well as the store bought packets.

Sinus Rinse Recipe:

1/2-1  teaspoon non-iodized salt  (1 tsp is too much for me so I use 1/2 teaspoon)

1/8 teaspoon baking soda (to prevent a burning sensation)

Add this to 8 ounzes of water and rinse as usual.

Let me know if this works for you!
